1. Although I’m a licensed lawyer, I no longer practice, instead focusing on my writing. If you need legal representation, please consult your local lawyer referral service.
2. Please read my writing to get a sense of the subjects that interest me. As you’ll see, I’m primarily interested in lawyers and the legal profession, not anything involving the law (and generally not people’s random lawsuits, however meritorious they might be).
3. I don’t do investigative reporting. That type of journalism, while extremely important, is time- and resource-intensive, and it’s more likely to lead to litigation. As an independent journalist, I’m not well-situated to engage in such work. Writers who work for large media organizations are more likely to be receptive to ideas for investigative pieces.
4. Because of the volume of messages I receive, I’m unable to respond to individually to every communication. If you don’t hear from me within five business days, you can assume that what you reached out to me about wasn’t a fit.
